If borrowed material is not returned within five days from its marked due date, the system marks that material as "lost" and a bill for the total replacement cost of the material is automatically issued.  If the material is subsequently returned, however, all charges are effectively removed from your patron account.  If material remains overdue at the end of a semester, the replacement cost of the material will be reflected on your patron/library account as well as on your student account.  A hold may be placed on your student account, and you may not be able to view transcripts or grades, until either the material is returned or the charges are paid.
