Hi Lisa,

If your favorite magazine was online (electronic) and you could search it for articles based on subjects that would be an electronic database. Think of it as searching People magazine online and using a search box to find any articles with George Clooney in them. The databases you’ll search for your question are just academic journals (magazines)  and be advised databases could also be encyclopedias, online newspapers or any collection of information grouped by subject.

Below is the link to our psychology research guide. Click on the tab called articles and below that is a collection of electronic psychology databases. Use the search box to find articles using terms such as “pet loss”. Play around with different terms and try to have fun. Please feel free to come visit or ask questions online from me. I’m here Sun- Thurs on the second floor from 2- 10 pm. Hope this helps and all the best, Mike
